Services

Accredited BSL Courses

We will offer Signature-accredited British Sign Language (BSL) courses, from beginner to advanced levels. As a community interest organisation, our aim is to make BSL accessible to everyone. We operate on a “pay what you can” basis — meaning that if you cannot afford to pay, you can still learn for free. However, as a small charity, we deeply appreciate contributions from those who are able to pay.

To guide you, we will share the average course prices charged by other institutions, but ultimately you decide what feels affordable for you. Our goal is to make high-quality BSL education inclusive, affordable, and empowering for all.

Deaf Awareness & Workshops

We will be hosting a variety of Deaf Awareness sessions and informative workshops in partnership with Deaf professionals and experts in the field.

Topics will include areas such as:
- understanding hearing aids
- what to know about cochlear implant surgery
- communication tips
We also welcome community suggestions. If there is a topic you would like to learn more about, you can request it, and we’ll do our best to make it happen. These workshops aim to build understanding, reduce stigma, and promote a more inclusive society.

Baby & Toddler Sessions

Our Baby and Toddler BSL Sessions are designed to introduce young children to sign language in a fun, interactive way. These sessions include playtime, songs, and storytime — all incorporating BSL. They provide an opportunity for young children and their families to be immersed in sign language from an early age, supporting both early communication and language development. It’s also a lovely way to meet other families going through similar experiences, and learn together in a relaxed, inclusive environment.

Deaf Role Models

Our Deaf Role Model programme provides opportunities to meet and connect with Deaf individuals who can share their lived experiences. You can ask questions, learn about Deaf culture, and gain confidence as you or your family become part of the Deaf community. These role models offer inspiration, guidance, and reassurance — whether you’re a new BSL learner, a parent of a deaf child, or someone adapting to hearing loss.

Bespoke BSL for Hearing Loss

Losing your hearing can be a difficult and emotional experience, especially as communication with family and friends begins to change. These classes are designed specifically for older adults and their loved ones. These bespoke, family-focused classes help everyone learn to communicate more effectively together as hearing loss develops. Unlike our accredited BSL courses, these sessions are tailored to your specific needs — focusing on practical, everyday signs and strategies that will make the biggest difference for your family.

Learning Resources

Our Learning Resources Hub will be a space where you can access useful information and materials related to BSL, Deaf culture, and communication support. This may include summaries from our workshops, Deaf role model profiles, and other educational materials. We want this hub to grow with the community — so if there’s information you’d like to see added, you can request it, and we’ll do our best to include it.
